The Meme Contest Is Over! Here are the winners.

The Meme Contest Is Over! Here are the winners.
First Place, for 8 AVAX: u/hooooman_
The Meme
My reason: His meme was very creative, merged different elements together that made the meme fun, and was well-balanced.
Second Place, for 6 AVAX: u/Genskyblue
The Meme
My reason: His meme was pretty well-thought out, creating an Avalanche using the Avalanche logo, and going straight for Bitcoin. A nice, focused, clean, funny meme.
Third Place, for 5 AVAX: u/Puzzleheaded-Ad-7864
The Meme
My reason: His meme was pretty epic, taking a scene from a Marvel movie and making it about Avalanche.
Fourth Place, for 2 AVAX: u/writenext
The Meme
My Reason: It is a decent meme with a decent message, about people involved with Avalanche being better off than what they were before. Effort was also put into this one.
Fifth Place, for 2 AVAX: u/ladyhanabae
The Meme
My reason: It was a pretty creative meme, even if not visually the best, I can tell that exceptional effort was put into it.
Sixth Place, for 2 AVAX: u/minivipers
The Meme
My Reason: Although the meme was a bit unorthodox and more of an intellectual statement than a seriously-funny meme, it was pretty strong in the regard that it illustrates Avalanche as a platform where you can do anything your imagination can think of. And the Matrix is pretty cool, so there is that.

[MODPOST] GlobalPowers Season XV End Of Season Awards - Awards Ceremony

Welcome, one and all, to the GlobalPowers Awards for Season XV. With the conclusion of the season and the voting period, it is now time to recognize the best, brightest and wackiest among us- here, on this night of nights, the night of the final results ceremony. Let’s get right into it, shall we?

In a marvelous showing, u/nikvelimirovic takes the crown as Best Overall Player for his excellent Russia-Union State gameplay this season; netting 70% of the vote in an excellent showing for Mother Russia and a heroic night for the Soyuzi and/or Soviet people. The runner up, u/dedpotatos, achieved a solid showing for her first season- netting 30% of the vote but unfortunately failing to win it.
Congratulations to u/nikvelimirovic!
With a clean sweep totalling 85% of the vote, u/bowsniper’s fantastic conflict resolution for the Second Korean War, “At the End of All Things”, wins the award for Best Overall Post— even if it’s caked in the dried blood of 1.4ish million dead virtual civilians. Remember, kids; success demands sacrifice. Runner up “Establishment of the Union State” by u/ThatOneEvelyn earned the remaining 15% of the vote.
Congratulations to u/bowsniper!
In a tight four-way race between several new players and also Shah, the community has decided that u/AmericanNewt8 is GP’s Most Entertaining Player- having earned 40% of the overall vote. It was a close race, however, with runners-up u/Computer__Genius, u/KomradeDmitri, and u/Isfahan-Arclight earning 35%, 20% and 5% of the vote respectively; proving how shitty first-past-the-post is for more serious contexts.
Congratulations to u/AmericanNewt8!
Demonstrating his colossal brain and his tremendous literary skills, u/bowsniper takes the Most Entertaining Post award for, again, “At the End of All Things”, the conflict resolution for the Second Korean War, netting 80% of the vote. Runner-up u/nikvelimirovic’s “Landau’s Legacy - Part IV”, in which the Union State steals the world’s free bitcoin, earned 20% of the vote- a very strong showing.
Congratulations to u/bowsniper!
u/AmericanNewt8’s excellent albeit quite ridiculous South Korea takes the award for Season XV’s Most Entertaining Nation, his ceaseless warmongering and eventual destruction earning him 40% of the overall vote in a tight race. Runners-up Canada (u/Computer__Genius) and Tunisia (u/TheIpleJonesion) both earned 20%, with Iran (a variety, including u/Isfahan-Arclight and u/Fulanka26) taking another 10% and plucky North Korea stealing the final 5%.
Congratulations to u/AmericanNewt8!
In the toughest round and most divided showing of the night, u/barrybee1234 just barely eeks out a win for Best Shitposter, his memery as the UK and Norway pushing him just above long-time favourite, ex-mod, and esteemed glue boy u/A_Wild_Ferrothorn. u/barrybee1234 earned 35% of the vote, with runners-up u/A_Wild_Ferrothorn, u/AmericanNewt8, u/BOT_MARX and u/nikvelimirovic earning 25%, 15%, 15% and 10% respectively. Tough break.
Congratulations to u/barrybee1234!
In a sharp contrast to Best Shitposter, there was really only one option for Best Roleplayer: the magnificent and esteemed u/peter_j_, who stole the title of largest economy from the US and 65% of the vote through his brilliant roleplay and his excellent China game. Runners-up u/nikvelimirovic and u/A_Wild_Ferrothorn (lmao) took 25% and 10% of the vote respectively, offering a good showing even if Peter won it in the end.
Congratulations to u/peter_j_!
u/artistique1’s Pakistan, the underdog of the subcontinental shitfest, came out on top by the end— earning the title of Most Improved Nation (with 85% of the vote) despite it’s neighbour and it’s continental buddies throwing the world economy down the shitter. Runner-up North Korea, by u/KomradeDmitri, earned the remaining 15%, probably due to it’s rival getting kicked back to the 50s like them. Oh well— what are you gonna do.
Congratulations to u/artistique1!
Given that mods are the only people who matter, the Best Mod award stands as the only award that matters; and Season XV’s Best Mod vote was one for the books. Here, two titans of GP duked it out, even if one did so only in spirit— u/Physics98; founder of GlobalPowers, restorer of the rightful rule of the mod team, near-deity and long-time legend stood in one corner, an ethereal Goliath to u/bowsniper’s new but dedicated David, who stood in the other. At the end of the day, though, there could be only one; and u/bowsniper took the title with an overwhelming 80% of the vote despite him really not deserving to do that well. u/Physics98, for his part, still nabbed a rock solid 20% of the share; his first and to-date only nomination winning him the laurels of runner-up 5~ years after he left GP.
Congratulations to u/bowsniper!
Surprising literally no one, the Second Korean War, brought on by u/AmericanNewt8’s now legendary conflict post, “Korean War 2”, stole the show as the Most Unrealistic Action That Didn’t Get Invalidated. u/AmericanNewt8’s excellent if strategically bankrupt post earned 40% of the vote, pushing it above the competitors in both another demonstration of how terrible FPTP is and another crushing defeat for players located anywhere but Asia. I can’t be asked to list the runners up, but they didn’t earn more than 20% of the vote individually.
Congratulations to u/AmericanNewt8!
The Best Invalidation of the season, as determined by the community, was apparently easy to pick— the Invalidation of “South Korea Embraces Tradition: Grab As Much As Possible Before Cease-Fire” by u/AmericanNewt8 and u/bowsniper cleaned house with 50% of the overall vote, probably due to the over-effort put into what could’ve been a single click of the mouse and a one-word comment. Goddamnit. The runners-up, for their part, didn’t do half bad: u/barrybee1234, u/dedpotatos, and u/ThatOneEvelyn’s Invalidation of “Norway and Chile both bid $200,000,000…” earned 25%, u/WilliamKallio and u/bowsniper’s Invalidation of “Ugandan Hypersonic Missile ‘Victoria’ M-1337-69” earned 20%, and u/mfsmm and the Mod Team’s Invalidation of French Black Ops picked up the remaining 5% of the vote.
Congratulations to u/AmericanNewt8 and u/bowsniper!
In our first and only tie of the night, u/AmericanNewt8 and u/dedpotatos both win our award for the Best New Player— picking up 35% of the vote each for their excellent posts, strong albeit sometimes memey gameplay, general pleasantness and strong integration into the GP community as a whole. Welcome to GP, friends— hope you stick around for a while yet. Our runners up, u/Computer__Genius and u/barrybee1234, earned 20% and 10% of the remaining vote respectively, in a good showing for both. We hope you guys stick around too, among all the other new players not nominated.
Congratulations to u/AmericanNewt8 and u/dedpotatos!
The esteemed Player Who Adds The Most To The Community Award is often a close-fought, divisive matter— and this season was certainly no exception. As votes rolled it, the award repeatedly flipped between u/nikvelimirovic, u/Isfahan-Arclight and u/bowsniper before it pulled away in favour of the sole winner; u/bowsniper, who ended up netting a slight majority, totalling 55% of the total vote, by the end of the voting period. Runners-up u/nikvelimirovic, u/Isfahan-Arclight and u/peter_j_ all earned healthy vote proportions, for their part, winning 25%, 15% and 5% of the vote respectively. This result comes in spite of u/bowsniper barely playing this season, leading to much confusion among Awards Ceremony personnel.
Congratulations to u/bowsniper!
Our second to last award of the night, the Cutest Couple Award often features hilarious, esoteric, abstract pairings of man and post, concept and event, nation and player, among many others. This time, however, the award was passed to the straight shooting matchup of GP’s very own Romeo and Juliet; u/nikvelimirovic and u/ThatOneEvelyn, who, despite Nik’s continual aloofness, managed to pick up 50% of the total vote. Our lovebird runners-up included the very clever nomination Pain & Suffering, which picked up 25% of the vote, the marriage-sticking-together-for-the-kids that is u/Isfahan-Arclight & u/spummydue, which earned 15%, and the pairing of Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko, who are no doubt making out in the Kremlin as we speak, which stole the final 10%.
Congratulations to u/nikvelimirovic and u/ThatOneEvelyn!
And, last but not least, we reach the much maligned dumpster fire that is GP’s milwanking, which, despite being complained about by pretty much everyone, never seems to fully disappear. Funny how that works, right guys? The best of the worst this year comes in the form of the long-running Season XV meme, Quantum Radars, with u/Isfahan-Arclight and his “ATLA Quantum Initiatives” stealing the show as the Best Piece of Milwank/Techwank this season— just barely pulling out a win with 40% of the vote, compared to u/ThatOneEvelyn’s “Lider-class Destroyer”, which won 35% (goddamnit), and u/AmericanNewt8’s “Cheonan-class Corvette”, which won the remaining 25%.
Congratulations to u/Isfahan-Arclight!

Awards Tally

And thus, we round out the Awards Ceremony, and (arguably) with it Season XV. Thanks once again for the great season everybody; we hope you enjoyed your time with it and we hope you’ll stick around for Season XVI. Congratulations to the winners; see you all at the next GlobalPowers Awards.

Default English word list

Alright so, I took the default database from there and with the help of html, I extracted the words to a list separated by commas. It's useful when you want to translate those words into your native language.
Word of advice, when using google translate, do not put all words at once there, it can rapidly worsen the translation.
(And there is a last thing. Their algorithm of picking only custom words is not working really good, at least for me. Meaning that I often get duplicates, despite having a list this big and without duplicates. I'm still trying to find some solution to this, so if somebody is experiencing this as well, share the knowledge please, I will do the same.)
SOLUTION: Thanks for the reply from PepegaWR who identified the cause. I also tested it and there seems to be a custom words limit of 5000 characters. The easiest way in my opinion is to shuffle the words before each session to minimize the impact. Also thanks to the flynger who had the same idea before me :)
Finally, here it is, enjoy the scribbling ^^ :

Reddit is now privately scoring communities based on how heavily they remove content. Here is a sample of these ratings

See: for more background.
The "Difficulty Score" appears to operate on a scale from 0-1 with some (smalleless active) subreddits returning null
1 appears to be nearly complete lack of removals while scores closer to 0 appear to be heavier moderation.
Here is a sampling of values I found:
Reddit's also calculating similarity scores to present the suggestions I'll probably post more about this later. Whatever metric they are using is smart enough to realize that politics is heavily left leaning and suggest only other left leaning subreddits as similar.
If anyone would like me to check the value of a subreddit let me know.
Edits 1-7: Added some more results

And the admins have clarified that improved transparency is a goal of the experiment:
The hardest part of working at Reddit is trying to find the balance between users and moderators. We try not to pick sides and build things that work for both parties. One of the most consistent and hardest feedback we get from ours users is the lack of transparency around removals. This is not an indication or an inditement against mods. Rather users literally have no insights into this. So, while this may not be something requested from moderators, this is one of the key pain points for our users. This experiment is meant to help increase the level of transparency while trying to bring attention to users the importance of following rules.

I wish I was reborn a girl

I wish I was reborn as a girl with all the knowledge I have now. I’d invest in Google, Facebook, Bitcoin, and cute dresses. I could get a date, a bf, or just a hook up anytime I want! All I have to do is be constantly underestimated and objectified and likely raped at least once in my life and have the government try to regulate my reproductive health. But... hey... I’d be a soothsayer, and cute.
I'd have immense social capital just for being a woman, that I'd KNOW I have and therefore I wouldn't take it for granted and I could use it to my advantage - because I was a guy and know what its like to feel expendable. I'd never have to ask anybody out on a date ever again and instead just do the picking and judging until I find a great guy with lots of money that I have genuine feelings for. Then I'll laugh at my male friends' Tinder profiles because I don't have to deal with that shit anymore, but if I wanted to, my inbox could be 999+ matches in a day if I wanted to. I can now afford to have higher standards because I have actual options instead of choosing between 5 matches that'll all ghost. So then I start saying terrible things like, "All men are pigs" and "Men are so simple and easy" and "I'm a queen".
Eventually, I'll forget my past life as a male and transform into a flirty tease that acts offended when called out for exploiting my looks for personal gain, rather than my intellect. And I can say stuff like, "The patriarchy can't hold us down! Fuck men!" and everybody will cheer and send their likes and comments on my IG profile for being so strong and courageous and empowering others.
Then I'll learn to hate myself because societal norms of acceptable/rewarded behaviors has eventually incentivized me to become the very thing I disliked about women when I was a man - a flirty tease and gendered asshole that talks as if all women are good and all men are bad. And I'll say stuff like, "Why can't men just... ...its so easy for them." I'll actively promote content on my IG about body positivism and empowerment but mix up sexual promiscuity for empowerment because that's what society has taught me I'm valuable for, to use my body to get eyes to sell ads to. I grow disgusted with myself and my life choices. Even on my best days, I'll have ingrained in me deep mistrust and automatically assume men to be guilty of something, unless they're cute, except if their creepiness outweighs their cuteness, but the cuter they are, the more they can get away with.
So, I get sick of it and I get gender reassignment surgery and treatments until I become a FtM transgender. Because the monkeypaw I used to be reborn the first time is now gone. Also, I own Google and Facebook now. Then I'll host Ted Talks about the emotional abuse and suffering of men but people won't really pay attention to it because the hot topic is women, always has been and will be. But eventually some bigot murders me in cold blood while I'm walking late at night because that's what statistically happens to a lot of trans people.
In all seriousness, I know being a woman isn't all rainbows and butterflies but I'd take that option in a heartbeat. Being a man is horrendously awful, difficult, lonely and degrading, and not enough people talk about it for fear of being labeled a misogynist or worse... a men's rights activist. It sorta reminds me of my vastly different experiences on Tinder vs. Grindr. As a good looking bi guy chasing after straight women, you feel like worthless scum, ghosted, 1 in a trillion, expendable. Female friends offer advice that never works because they have the luxury of doing whatever on Tindr and it just works. As a good looking bi guy on Grindr though, I feel like I'm prom King and I have my pick of the bunch for whatever I'm in the mood for and people just listen to what I have to say and act like its the most interesting thing they've heard in their entire lives.
I know women have lots of obstacles in life and etc. but damn, it would feel nice to feel like I have inherent value and to have people want to take care of me. Cis-straight women have no idea how good they have it and have been taught to believe that they're always the victim and everything is terrible for them and everything is fine for men. But the reality is that everyone has their own sets of problems and some groups have less problems than others - white women especially, why do you think there are so many entitled white Karens? They live life having everything catered to them. Though, I'm not saying that being sheltered and cared for is a fulfilling and satisfying way to live (probably why so many Karens are so bitter and petty, because maybe they know deep down that they're just trophy wives, I can't imagine somebody marrying a Karen for their personality). Then Karens' looks fade over time and the husband starts cheating with someone from the office that's uncomfortably younger.
I grew up with basically only female friends. The shit women talk about about in private (with me being like "one of the girls")... sometimes its just so disgusting and vile. Infinitely worse than "locker room talk", neither of which I condone.
In my experience, boy's locker room talk is like... "Damn, she was hot. I wanna smack that ass. Yeah. I'd totally give her Dirty Sanchez" vs. a female friend-group virtual hangout: "Yeah I liked him, but he's kinda poor and I want a guy with money. Plus, his dick was big but it was, like, weird. I dunno. It was shaped all funny and gross. I'd take a smaller dick for a richer dude. When he fingered me, it didn't feel good. Like.. it felt like he was a kid digging through his Halloween candy bag, looking for a Reese Cup" See the difference? "Locker room talk" is about posturing and preening. The female equivalent of "locker room talk" doesn't even have a negative label, but in them I've noticed that its not about posturing and preening to members of the same sex in a misguided attempt to show masculinity. Instead, its about judging and evaluating the worth of a person and making the person's identity a joke to be laughed at. Reminds me of the constant number of posts about couples arguing and the woman always goes and aims right for that thing that she knows cuts deepest into their bf's identity - like, "Maybe that's why your father never calls you". Like, why do women do that? Why do they always have to immediately go to the nuclear option and also bring stuff up from the past? And if you're winning the argument, they just start crying or stop listening to all reason and present an ultimatum? Its almost as if women in general are used to getting their way most of the time, and still act as if the world is out the get them. Its almost as if women in general have more freedom to say and do whatever they want without fear of repercussions, like when a tiny white drunk white girl tries to slap and claw the crap out of giant guy because she knows the punishment for him laying hands on her are infinitely worse, while hers are basically nonexistent. Abuse comes in many forms and imo women are the primary perpetrators of emotional abuse, going back to the age-old teen meme, "She asked me to change for her. Then left when she said she no longer recognized me". Women are demanding little monsters that stay that way because there's always men willing to enable and encourage that behavior. For them, its normal and they don't see the cognitive dissonance, which leads to things like the #MeToo movement losing steam when a bunch of male victim came forward and women treated them exactly like how female victims were treated when silenced. Thus exposing that many women in the #MeToo movement aren't actually against rape and rape culture, they're against female rape. Now, we're hearing "Let everyone's case be heard and evaluated" instead of "Believe all women". At this point, can't we just all admit that this whole women's empowerment thing has basically been sold to corporations to promote products; and to politicians to get votes; and to individuals so they can feel a sense of moral superiority without actually doing anything?
I'm just saying, I hate the gendered bias that women are good/valuable and men are bad/worthless. We can both be and act equally awfully. But given the gendered bias that exists and likely will never go away, I'd gladly take being a woman if that were ever an option. You have inherent value as a woman. Sure, everyone and everything will try to take advantage of that, but you'll have inherent value. Think about every single example of a woman who decided to venture in the male world, whether its a social experiment using Tindr as a guy, or a feminist activist disguising as a man for 18 months. A man can never know what its like to be a woman and vice versa, but its stupid how much women seem to assume that men's lives are easy, and its disheartening to me to see so many women being blown away to learn how difficult it can be to be a man.
I'm just saying... gender politics isn't as simple as man bad, woman good. But that's basically what everyone is promoting, whether they know it or not.

Tinfoil hat time... Don't take seriously, or do I guess. Whatever, I'm not your mother. This would make for a great story though.

The creator of the game, "Plague Inc" was interviewed for a CDC blog post from 2013.
How did you ensure it was a realistic game?
Without a medical background, I did a lot of online research in order to make sure it felt realistic to players. Luckily, I have always been very interested in biology as well as economics and current affairs. This helped a lot when I was building the algorithms and models inside the game. A critical stage in the game is the ‘Infection Cycle’ that dictates how people become infected with a disease and how they infect others. The game revolves around this stage, and I spent months making sure that it worked properly. The core design is based on the concept of ‘basic reproduction rate’ and I found lots of great papers online which taught me more about it.
What kind of audience does Plague Inc. reach and what do they get from it?
Plague Inc. has been downloaded over 10 million times worldwide and over 200 million games have been played to date. As an intelligent and sophisticated strategy game, I think Plague Inc. appeals to people looking for something more meaningful and substantial than the majority of mobile games. It makes people think about infectious disease in a new light – helping them realize the threats that we face every day.
Were players of Plague Inc. interested to know you had been invited to the CDC?
Yes, the reaction to the news has been extremely positive and people are keen to know more! In the first 24 hours after I announced my visit to the CDC almost 1 million people had seen tweets about it! I think people were excited to see that a prestigious organization like the CDC was interested in the game. A lot of people also hoped that visiting the CDC would give me ideas for future updates of the game (which it did!)
What did you learn at CDC?
It was fascinating to meet the people who are working hard every day to keep us safe from the type of threats that Plague Inc. features. I got a tour of the Emergency Operations Center and Broadcast Center, as well as a trip to the CDC museum. This gave me a lot of contextual information about how the CDC works, which will help me add a greater level of realism to the game in the future – especially in terms of how humanity reacts to outbreaks.
What are you working on now and what do you have coming out next?
Plague Inc. is still proving to be an incredibly popular game, so my main focus must be to keep improving the game and adding new content for players. Recently, I released an update that added a zombie-themed plague, as well as translating the game into four other languages. In the next update, I will be adding a new game mode for players, translating it into Japanese/Korean and hopefully adding some CDC content!
From this, we see that even before He went to the CDC over 200 million games had been played, and in the last 7 years, who knows how many more. Since 2013 he has taken highly detailed actual infectious disease data and implemented it into the game.
So at this point, we can assume that Plague Inc. It is a REALISTIC simulation, at least to a certain degree. Adding to this we know that hundreds of millions of simulations have been run. These simulations feature real-world decisions being made, realistic public events, and real sociological changes and variables. Even assuming the worst possible accuracy of the data(remember, companies like Twitter, Google, Facebook have no less than Ten Thousand data points on every US Citizen.), given enough time, a sufficiently robust deep learning AI can optimize this data to an extreme degree.
Let’s also assume that in addition to these PLAYER driven simulations, several AI-controlled simulations have been run as well. Not necessarily with Plague Inc.’s engine, but with Pandemic researchers. With this much data, it just makes sense that at some point this game would be able to not only model the “perfect virus” in order to infect a specific amount of people and cause a specific amount of symptoms. In addition, if the game uses actual virus genomics data, it could even, given enough time, develop the recipe to create this virus for us.
This isn’t even the extent of this AI possibility. Narrow, data-driven AIs are capable of crunching an obscene amount of data. And if you feed in the right data (GPS movements, Spending Habits, public reactions to public events and news stories, hell, I’m even sure memes could be effectively factored into these algorithms) these systems could very easily be linked together into a massive simulation that factors in and predicts all sorts of “likely eventualities”.
Brexit, Trump, Sanders, China, are all great examples of events that have an almost limitless amount of data points on the internet, all categorized by companies like Cambridge Analytica. Not only your reaction to the specific stimulus, but what you do after you've reacted to the stimulus, and how you react to that next stimulus, and so on and so on Ad Infinitum. Not to mention all the quizzes you’ve been filling out on Facebook, your Instagram account, your Spotify, your Tinder likes and dislikes and matches, YouTube and Pornhub browsing data all get fed into these systems. Ever wonder why Facebook and Amazon are making so much money? We can CLEARLY see that Billionaires run the world and can do ANYTHING they want right in front of us and they face ZERO consequences. Epstein didn't kill himself proved this. And Panama paper before that.
Hell Reddit accounts are the worst of the worst. Every time we upvote a meme, we are running calculations for these algorithms. We have become processing power for these AI Overlords. We willingly provide these companies with all of the data they need, they give us free smartphones and we welcome and integrate them into our daily lives. They listen to our conversations, and we are told that it is just for the mass aggregate data and that nobody actually listens to them. Humans don't listen to them, but Deep Learning Neural Nets certainly do. but forget about all the AI systems for a second. Collectively, the entire internet-connected totality of the human race is an actual computer.
If you think about how we all interact with each other in a single day, we can assume that most interactions function almost exactly like a math problem, just with a seemingly infinite amount of variables. Impossible to know that you said an innocuous thing that triggered the lady sitting next to you in some way that she was in a shitty mood for the rest of the day and ended up impulse buying $30 in lottery tickets. She was extremely rude to several people that day and acted like a typical "Karen" about it. All of this made a total of twenty-six people post funny statuses on Facebook or tweeted about her, which all were, to some varying degree of engagement, responded to and liked and emojied about. not to mention all the other interactions that took place in all that. Even if these AI algorithms miss seventy-five percent of all that sensory data and causal reasoning, we still make computations on that based on our own actions. The next time that lady sees that man in the coffee shop, she might remember the time she had a shitty day because of him. Then she iterates the loop again, adding more data to the pile... This process will inevitably guide not only each individual person to their own predictable outcomes, but humanity as a whole will eventually lead to some almost unavoidable outcome. We are a Neural Net running constantly. Our entire human race is working out calculations, and the interconnectedness of the world wide web has increased our processing power to effectively infinite levels. You know in "A Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" where they make a computer that is as big as a planet, well, we ARE that computer. (a better example, in my opinion, is found in the book "Children of Time" where spoiler alert: A semi-sentient hivemind race of ants get turned into an actual computer that an uploaded human mind that became part of a possible already conscious AI system eventually gets transferred to where it becomes a sentient human/AI Hybrid spaceship made of ants piloted by a semi-symbiotic sentient Spider Human Alliance)
When asked how much data is on the internet, Google says:
"One way to answer this question is to consider the sum total of data held by all the big online storage and service companies like Google, Amazon, Microsoft and Facebook. Estimates are that the big four store at least 1,200 petabytes between them. That is 1.2 million terabytes (one terabyte is 1,000 gigabytes)."
That is 1.2 billion gigabytes. Just to put this into perspective, let's say your phone has 512GB, for every Gig of data you have on your phone, these companies have 2,343,750GB... or put another way... for every megabyte you have, these companies have 2,343.75 Gigs of data. We all create all the data they need to do pretty much anything conceivable given enough computing power.
Speaking of us collectively being a massive computing system... Do you know what else does an unfathomable amount of calculations per second? You, you guessed it, Bitcoin. Across all of the Bitcoin network, mining could easily be doing billions of calculations every second.
from ”With Bitcoin, miners use special software to solve math problems and are issued a certain number of bitcoins in exchange. This provides a smart way to issue the currency and also creates an incentive for more people to mine.”
What math problems could these be working on? Without being able to look at the entirety of the math problems being worked out, it would be impossible to tell what they are working on. But imagine if these AI systems could distribute these ENORMOUSLY massive simulations on every single computer that is mining bitcoins, I think there would be enough data processing power do run something massive. Add in all the other Crypto mining and, well that's a lot of math. They aren't just doing your standard Multiplication tables either.
In conclusion, we absolutely are living in a simulation, just not how you think. There very well could be an extremely large number of simulations running, using REAL WORLD data to create predictive algorithms to not only predict outcomes but MANAGE them. i.e. what Cambridge Analytica did with Brexit and Trump. We know that this happened, and if that is possible, imagine what else could be possible to manufacture? One man can build a log cabin in ten days, ten men can build a log cabin in one day. And one computer can do a lot more math than ten people can...
TL;DR: Billionaires control the world using AI, and we are the operating system. We already live in the matrix, and it is too late to change anything about that.

If you know about an app that doesn’t work in iOS 13 or iOS 13.1, comment the name of it and I’ll add the app to the list.
Please kindly provide the app link(s) to the app(s) you’re reporting.
⚠️ If the app is partly functional (works but has a few buggy features) or only works on select devices, please include those details in your report.
Non-Functional Apps in iOS 13 Beta
Thanks for all your app requests! I hope that this list, which will be continuously updated until the final launch of iOS 13, will help other users.
❗️This list has been discontinued. I will no longer be adding new apps to the list since iOS 13 has already been released to the public. Thanks for all your support and I’ll see you next year!

Adventures of WILD magic Mage

>Be me, Wild magic mage. Tried making an auto-play build where i have a 90% chance for my magic to go wild and i randomly cast either a spell or a ritual (D10 roll. If it lands on anything that isn't 10 i "Fail" if it lands on 10 i CRIT-FAIL MOTHER HUMPERS! i cast a 8 or higher level spell) I'm also blissfully ignorant to my magic-dysfunction. (Everything about me is compressed to write only the most interesting things. there was maybe 6 spells in between every spell i cast)
>DM stoked and made a "spinning wheel of luck" i spun every time my magic went wild.
>Half-orc Barbarian and accidental victim of strange spells. Has a movement speed of 100ft.
>Human mage and epic facepalmer whenever stuff i do go wrong. So basically my entire life.
>Invisible half-god and cleaner of my messes. Only intervenes if my spells turn REALLY bad. Or turn me in to a God... AGAIN. Only ever interacts if stuff i do get too stupid for the material world. I can see him, nobody else can. Appears in exactly one line of text in this story.

>First quest is to kill some ogres in a forest.
>As darkness falls upon the wooded forest we're in we decide to set up camp.
>I get campfire duty.
>Gather sticks, kindling, chop wood.
>I think our tinderbox is pretty boring so i try to use a VERY low powered fireball to light the fire.
>Party looks at me as i cast my spell. Wizard already facepalming at what's about to happen.
>Magic goes as wild as Walmart shoppers during Black Friday.
>A poisonous cloud fills the camp.
>Poisons everyone in the camp, Including the half-god that rolled a nat 1.
>10 minutes pass as the poison clears
>Get my ass beat by the Barbarian who failed 4 CON saves even though his CON stat is sky-high.
>Wizard is on campfire duty from now on.

>As punishment i get set on first-watch duty.
>I get a plan. I try to cast an unseen servant to stand guard for me.
>Suddenly a projected image of myself appears
>I look at myself "Huh, even better than i planned! Hey, me. Stand guard, if something unknown appears alert us"
>I go to sleep.
>Wizard who has 2nd watch wakes up.
>Goes outside to see me sitting on a stump by the campfire
>"Nice to see you haven't caused trouble"
>Projected image of myself turns around and says "Like i ever do! Good Night"
>As wizard is moving to trade places with the projected image it passes right through him.
>"WOAH THE F****" could be heard by the wizard. loud enough to wake up our Barbarian who comes bursting out of the tent.
>My projected image enters my own tent, passing right through the cloth entrance.
>Wizard and Barbarian both storm my tent, ripping the entrance open.
>See me spooning myself. sleeping blissfully.
>Wizard forces me to do 2nd watch with him.

>Noon breaks as we hear monstrous shouting deeper in the forest.
>Barbarian takes of in a dash speeding 200ft in 6 seconds. (Dashing consumes all actions but double movement speed)
>Wizard manages to throw a rope around him and me as we speed off in to the distance.
>Smash in to one of the ogres at full speed
>I get KO'd

>Wizard and Barbarian both tenderize the ogres as i spend most of my time hiding after the Wizard revived me.
>My projected image catches up with me. "Hey, me. What's goi'n on?"
>"Just hiding. Try to stay down, if i die both of us die"
>I look at myself
>"But i'm the original"
>Get in to an argument with myself about who is the original.
>after looting, the Wizard shows up to us arguing.
>I'm arguing with myself just as the wizard punches my projected image.
>Hand passes through. No resistance.
>Image realizes that he isn't the original, and that he will die as soon as the spell duration reaches it's end.
>Starts screaming, having a total mental breakdown. Begging us to find a way to keep him alive.
>Wizard dispels him
>"Your spells sure are annoying"

>Barbarian found an item that can temporarily double his speed once a day.
>Laughs in 300ft dash movement speed. (Previous boots gave him extra movement speed)
>Wizard found a shit-ton of gold.
>We need to return to the mayor of the village who gave us the quest.
>Realize our barbarian can carry us and run at 50 feet/s
>After a few quick CON stat checks to check if the Barbarian goes unconscious before reaching our location later.
>Mayor of the village is astounded that we managed to kill the ogres in such a short time.
>Gives us a house in the village and buys us a round of mead from the local tavern.

>We enter our house to relax and for the Wizard to use his magical magic to find us a quest.
>I'm eating grapes on a chair in front of the fireplace
>A grape falls and rolls under another chair
>Chair has those annoying gap-covers that make it impossible to find stuff that has fallen under them.
>Cast Unseen servant to retrieve my grape so i can eat it in peace.
>Barbarian watches this happen and goes wide-eyed
>I shoot off a firebolt in to the chair next to me
>It catches fire.
>I try to extinguish the fire with a gust of wind. as the Barbarian moves in to extinguish the fire.
>Nothing happens
>Barbarian finishes smashing out the fire.
>picks me up to kick me across the room
>I grab his hand to stop him throwing me.
>Barbarian's pupils expand.
>Releases me as he sits down an stares in to the void. never blinking
>He sees everything that will happen in the next 8 hours.
>He sees the Wizard die, some unholy god possessing him as an avatar of evil.
>Just as the Barbarian returns to being normal the Wizard enters
>"I just talked to a somewhat sketchy guy but i believe there are many things in it for us!"
>Barbarian explains what he has seen.
>Wizard believes him and we never do that quest.

>A long-ass time passes (I could not make the sessions due to work)
>We have a quest with the king to deliver an important item to another person that will give us an item the king needs.
>I hold the satchel and try to cast "teleport" to get it over with quick.
>Throne room wall gets a perfectly rectangular hole leading to the kitchen.
>Cooks get ROYALLY confused (har har har)

>King squints and says
>You need some practice my friend! Try again, after all practice makes perfect!
>Try to teleport again
>A piece of parchment appears
>King's mage tells me i can write anything on it and it will only be visible readable by anyone i choose.
>Write "Wizard is a dick"
>Show Barbarian
>Barbarian can't read.
>Make a picture of the wizard and a dick
>Takes the Barbarian a few minutes before he understands
>Laughs his ass off
>Wizard is angry at us for not showing him what's so funny.

>On the way to the King's friend we get attacked by huge pack wolves
>Barbarian manages to smash the alpha in to a fine pulp with a CRIT to the face.
>Wizard freezes multiple of them in place with a well placed ice-spell
>I try to cast a fireball to join in on the fun
>Wolves turn in to a tepee hut made of wolf-hide, wolf bones and wolf hair for string to keep it together.
>Team mates look at me in disbelief
>"Why cant your magic just be... normal?"
>I'm laughing my ass off.

>After speaking to king's friend and getting a strangely heavy sack of something we agree to teleport back.
>I want to try to teleport before Wizard does it for us
>Wizard agrees
>Barbarian prepares himself.
>Sparks of electric energy surge around my fingertips as a lightning bolt shoots out of my hand perfectly searing a nearby squirrel.
>Barbarian's mouth is watering.

>Wizard teleports us in to king's throne room
>King is getting served by a large number of exotic dancers
>Shouts at us to get away while covering himself
>I want in on this and i try to turn invisible
>I get covered in magic armor as we walk out of the throne room.
>Guards uneasy since i just summoned armor
>Wizard clarifies "This gal has some serious magic-problems, don't worry about it"
>I demonstrate that my magic is perfectly fine by making fireworks in the air above me
>Some sparkles happen as all the guards agree with me that my magic is indeed normal and that there is no problem with me using magical armor in the throne room.
>Huh, that worked well.

>After drinking us dumb at a tavern there is a karaoke competition.
>I get memories of my idol Sips the wild magic monkey.
>Do a half-decent job at singing and decide to end on doing some sparkles just like i did in front of the guards like my idol did in a story I've heard.
>Forgot what happened with Sips after that.
>Magic goes wild.
>A decorative skull starts singing along with me
>Totally smash the competition with my now permanent follower, The talking skull. (Begged DM to keep him)

>Wizard so amazed he buys a custom-made bag to hold the skull
>The bag of skulling.
>He also buys a bag of holding and a bag of colding.
>This way we can loot more and eat better food!
>Used up all our money in the process.
>We sleep away the night.
>I can't remember anything that happened the previous night.
>See a talking skull in a stylish bag next to me
>"HEY! Woman, i never got ya name! I usually ask women their names before sleeping with them!"
>Tell skull my name is "REDACTED"
>"WOAH, honey, that's a mouthful. How about i call you Cutey-pie?"
>Skull is a smooth talker. "Sure" i tell him.

>Enter king's throne room
>King excuses himself for the day before.
>Gives us a bonus on the quest to keep us quiet about it.
>Skull starts talking
>"Hey cutey-pie! something close here smells fucky"
>Wizard seems interested by this
>Secretly cast "Detect Magic" as king is distracted by the talking skull.
>King's clothing is magical. No surprises there
>Golden throne is magical
>Wizard whispers to me
>"Cause a distraction, nothing too big please"
>Everyone in the room starts dancing
>Wizard shouting at me while dancing
>King having a great time
>Guards dancing disco.
>Servants see the king dance and join in
>Entire staff, all guards and all people in the castle start dancing with the king
>Form a conga line.
>Spell wears off but people are still dancing. including king since they are having great fun.
>Wizard sneaks off.
>Checks the throne.
>Throne is cursed, causes a slow corruption of whomever sits on it.
>Wizard destroy the curse, golden throne turns in to stone.
>Wizard join the conga line again and parties on.

>King realizes the enchantment of his throne is gone
>Dang it! Call the royal Wizard! the throne stopped being shiny again!
>Wizard watches as the royal Wizard comes down.
>Sees him curse the throne again.
>Skull whispers to me "Oi, cutey-pie, see that? that dude is sketchy AF!"
>I try to dispel it.
>Wizard who has a plan tries to stop me
>Too late!
>Nothing happens
>I hear a booming voice, from everywhere at once.
>wait wut?
>I openly just say "If you could make that wizard stop being a dick, that would be nice"
>Royal wizard turns around to me
>"Did you say something you vile child?"
>Royal wizard's head explodes
>Everyone looks at me. I just commanded an unknown being to assassinate a royal wizard.
>Everyone is terrified.
>King shouts at guards to carefully arrest me.
>I need to get away
>Try to teleport away.
>A booming voice once again calls out
>Not another bitcoin
>"I wish that we weren't here"
>I appear in a small ice-covered village along with my friends.
>Realize that my magic may be a tiny bit unstable.

(For anyone wondering. This is the same character only re-worked since becoming a God, while fun became a bit too... God-like)
